Rochelle’s mom had very good memories of this restaurant which she used to frequent many, many years ago. Thanks to Google we were able to track down a branch of Shin Yeh restaurant at the 8th flr. of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi at Nanjing Rd.
The food was very well cooked and the flavors were delicious. My only gripe was the servings were so, so small. I loved this fried, crunchy fish with peanuts best. It was good to eat alone as an appetizer or with rice or congee.
fried small fish w/ peanuts
The oyster pancake was just ok but still not the best that we’ve been looking for.
pan fried oyster cake
I didn’t like the noodles at all but Rochelle’s son loved it.
stir fried noodles w/ seafood
The steamed fish was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The fish was so perfectly cooked and the sauce was out of this world. Too bad it was so tiny and we just had a small bite each.
