Melbourne: Brother Baba Budan & Manchester Press

I am obsessed with good coffee that’s why when I was in Melbourne I tried to drink at least one a day from a different place.

Melbourne – D.O.C. Pizza & Mozzarella Bar

One of my most memorable meals in Melbourne was the pizza at D.O.C. Pizza where we celebrated Sam’s birthday. It was a double celebration since I also celebrated my love for pizza.

Melbourne: Twelve Apostles

One of the most popular attractions in Victoria, Australia is the Twelve Apostles, a collection of limestone stacks found in Port Campbell National Park.

Melbourne: Geelong and The Bottle of Milk

The highlight of my trip to Melbourne last March was going to 12 Apostles which was a four hour trip from Melbourne via the scenic Great Ocean Road.

Phillip Island: The Noobies Boardwalk and Penguin Parade

Our main purpose for going to Phillip Island was to see the famous Penguin Parade which happens at sunset everyday.

Phillip Island: Picnic at the Cowes

I’m sure you’ve heard about Filipino hospitality, a trait known to most foreigners who have met Filipinos. We were the recipient of that during our trip to Melbourne last March.

Melbourne: Lamb Souvlaki

When I learned I was going to Melbourne I planned on eating a lot of lamb in restaurants serving authentic Aussie fare. It didn’t happen. Instead I got to eat lamb souvlaki twice and I was more than satisfied.

Melbourne: Library and Bourke Street Malls

I have a confession. I have never been to the National Library of the Philippines. But I went to the State Library of Victoria because it’s smack dab in the middle of the CBD in Melbourne.

Melbourne Central: Plantation Specialty Coffee & Cupcake Central

You could sum up the reasons I like Melbourne Central mall with these three places – Little Library, Plantation Coffee & Cupcake Central. Of course there’s also the nice mix of retail therapy, wood flooring and funky atmosphere.

Melbourne: Hanaichi Japanese Fine Food

Eating fast food in a mall is not exactly on my list when I go abroad but Deb assured me Hanaichi was better than your regular fast food fare.
