Cherry and Valerie treated a whole bunch of us for their birthday dinner at Spasso Italian Tapas and Wine Bar in Fort Bonifacio. We all had a hard time finding the place but in the end it was worth it.
The restaurant specialized in tapas but since there were 18 of us it was more realistic to order salads, pastas and meat and sharing it family style. All the salads were excellent and very creative.

The favorites for the night were the pastas in truffle sauce and the Ligurian pasta. I normally would like the pasta with creamy truffle sauce more but shockingly I liked the Ligurian pasta even more.

This pasta was so delicious. The sauce wasn’t your run of the mill seafood sauce but instead it had a multi-dimensional flavor that our half of the table really loved. The other half of the table rooted for the tagliatelle with truffle sauce.

The rest of the risottos and pasta dishes were also good but not as great as the first two.

Ok so the crispy roasted rosemary pork was good but I’m sorry it’s still lechon kawali with rosemary to me. The quantity is just the same as the one I sell in my store for a tenth of the price.

One day I hope to return to Spasso and try their tapas and wine.

I’ve eaten here as well and I was very pleased. You must try the Wagyu Tartare topped with delicate Lardo and the Mushroom Fritata on your next visit! 😀
