Our stay at the Hsuan Mei hotel included a daily breakfast buffet of Asian and Western choices. There were lots of vegetarian dishes and traditional Taiwanese fare.

We were initially excited to see an automatic coffee maker until we tried it’s super weak coffee. After trying the cappuccino, latte and Americano we discovered the double espresso was the only one that tasted like normal coffee.
My favorite for breakfast was the pork floss with fried egg sandwich. I ate a small triangle of sandwich everyday. I wanted to eat more but it always ran out fast. I never knew pork floss and fried egg would be such a good combination.
Inside the red crock pot was a Taiwan specialty, ground pork w/ tofu or boiled egg and yellow beans. This was available everyday.
It was definitely an interesting way to start the day.
