After our lunch at Donosti most of my friends were still hungry for both food and dessert.
We went to Chelsea Market Cafe in Serendra for heartier fare. We ordered just one carrot cake to share since it was quite a big slice. We’ve tried several of their cakes and the moist, chunky carrot cake is our favorite.
My friend Janet joined us at Chelsea and she hadn’t eaten lunch so she ordered a pizza which everyone ate too.
We ordered a couple of gourmet waffles and both were very good. The Belgian waffles were thick and soft. Dipping bacon in chocolate sauce was an excellent touch.
See that round brown disc on top of the waffle? It was really, really good peanut butter!
Dessert or merienda or whatever we had at Chelsea was good and very fulfilling. They still churn out good food after all these years.
