I don’t get to see my nieces and nephew as much as I want to. With their schooling and my work it’s hard to find time to get together. This summer I vowed to do something with them and the perfect opportunity came when I was sent this incredible DIY Mamon Decorating Kit from Monde.
The kit contained Monde Special Mamon as well as a wide variety of toppings in a very nice sturdy box with a handle.
My 4 year old niece Bree was so excited when she saw the kit that I had to remind her several times to look at the camera. She couldn’t tear her gaze at the kit.
Decorating mamons with my young niece is the perfect way for us to bond. She’s very creative and loves food just like her aunt.
It became a family affair when Bree’s achi Bernie and ahia Anton helped her out at first.
Later on Bree became an expert as she meticulously decorated the mamon to her exact specification.
Bree proclaims, “I’m done!”
Bree calls the one on the left Coco Sprinkles Mamon made with a base of Special Mamon topped with a layer of coco jam, colorful sprinkles, chocolate cookie crumbs and 2 cornflakes.
The one on the right is PBM or Peanut Butter Mamon. Chocolate Mamon topped with peanut butter, mini marshmallows, a few sprinkles and a cornflake in the middle.
It’s very easy to do this in your own homes with toppings you already have. You can use cheese, coco jam, cereal, ice cream, cream cheese, jam or virtually anything you want. The best part is eating your creations after. At first Bree didn’t want to eat her beautiful works of art and wanted to show it to her parents but I convinced her to take a big bite and we will just make more. She really enjoyed the soft, fluffy mamon made even yummier with an assortment of toppings.
