Can you believe I’ve never tried a Magnum Bar before I went to Magnum Manila? What better time to try this popular ice cream than at their flagship cafe in SM Aura.
We went to Magnum after our lunch at Todd English Food Hall. It was past 2:00 pm and I was surprised there was a line to get in. That just shows you that Filipinos love their ice cream any time of the day.
Whoever thought of using Magnum sticks to make this giant M was a genius.
I totally agree!
You don’t have to fall in line if you just want to make your own Magnum bar at the Pleasure Store. They provide a bench if you want to eat it in the store instead of eating it while walking in the mall.

You get to be the master designer of your own Magnum bar. Choose from the dips and toppings and pay one price.

When I go back I’m making my own Magnum Bar with chocolate ice cream, dark chocolate dip, dark chocolate drizzle, dried mangoes, pretzels and roasted almonds. It may not be colorful but it’s going to have loads of texture and dark chocolate which is the only kind I like.

We were all really impressed at how beautiful and classy the interiors of the cafe was. All the materials used were top of the line.
This was the first glass that we wanted to bite. Kudos on the presentation!

Matthew had his own order of Pink Friday because he doesn’t like chocolate. Gasp!!! I tried a little cheesecake and it was good. That’s all he would give me.

Not surprising my favorite was the fresh from the oven warm chocolate chip cookie topped with two bars of Magnum ice cream. One was naked and the other was half dipped in dark chocolate.

You can see how chocolatey the chewy cookie base was. It was really heavenly. If you’re wondering how 7 people shared these desserts we just cut the Magnum bars into pieces. I really liked the creamy ice cream. I will definitely buy a few bars in the supermarket after trying this.
The others liked the gooey and ultra moist chocolate lava cake better so I let them have it while I concentrated on my cookie.

Magnum Manila also has a separate savory dishes menu so you can have a full meal and dessert in one place. One day I will try their savory specialties. Thank you for opening a store in Manila, Magnum.

Leslie, wish there were an Magnum shop in San Francisco but only Cold Creamery. Never heard of Magnum till your web and FrannyWanny. I try some from supermarkets and taste so great. Made me from Dove bar lover to now Magnum bar fan. Look like I have to head to Singapore to try some in their shops.
