Majority of the Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong serve Cantonese food. When we want a change we go for Shanghainese food which has their own specialties and the most popular is the Xiao Long Bao.
When iSquare opened a few years ago I remember Romankan Yokohama was one of the first restaurants to open. I guess I wasn’t too interested in tonkatsu then. Last August I finally got to try this Japanese restaurant. Read on to see how they compare to all the tonkatsu restaurants in Hong Kong and Manila.
The newest restaurant to open in iSquare is modern Shanghainese restaurant Shanghai Popo. We had our first dinner there.
A relatively new addition to iSquare’s roster of restaurants is Marugame Seimen, a popular udon chain from Japan.
iSquare is a 31 storey mall in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. I have reviewed several restaurants in this mall. If you go to iSQUARE on a weekend be prepared to join long queues in most restaurants. Gunkan sushi (battleship sushi) areContinue reading “Dinner at Monster Sushi”
After dinner at Te we went next door to have dessert at Honeymoon Dessert. I never had such a hard time choosing dessert. In a western restaurant my choice would almost always contain the word chocolate. In Honeymoon Dessert you won’t find the word chocolate anywhere. What you will see are the words sweet balls,Continue reading “Honeymoon Dessert”
