Marugame Seimen 丸亀製麵

A relatively new addition to iSquare’s roster of restaurants is Marugame Seimen, a popular udon chain from Japan.

Jika Udon

While Manila is basking in the influx of ramen shops I’m happy to report that Hong Kong has seen the light and is starting to open udon restaurants.

Eric Kayser Bakery Grab & Go Hong Kong

Since I’ll be going to Hong Kong again soon I decided to post my discoveries from my trip last Holy Week.  I didn’t know Eric Kayser, a popular bakery from France, opened a store in Hong Kong until a thoughtful reader pointed it out to me.

Ya Kun Kaya Toast

One of my most pleasurable meals in Singapore was at the original branch of Ya Kun Kaya Toast. They have branches in several malls but I suggest going to this branch where waiters yell the customers’ orders and things get done fast amidst the seeming chaos.

Tiong Baru Market and Hawker Centre

As much as I enjoyed my experience at the Singapore Food Trail I still yearned to visit a real hawker center in Singapore.

Singapore Food Trail

Any time I can eat in a hawker center is a good thing. I actually ate at the Singapore Food Trail twice last June. The first time was on the day I arrived and the next was with the whole group led by  KF Seetoh.

The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands Singapore

I thought I wouldn’t get to see the Marina Bay Sands hotel after taking so many pictures of it from afar. Thankfully our tour guide, Eros, took pity on me and brought us there for dinner after visiting Gardens by the Bay.

Singapore: Gardens by the Bay

[singlepic id=68 w=640 h=480 float=] It was raining in Singapore that afternoon and we were so worried that we wouldn’t be able to go to the Gardens by the Bay but Eros, our tour guide, guaranteed it us that it would be no problem.

Breakfast for Dinner at Wild Honey

I gave up my precious free time supposedly for shopping the Great Singapore Sale to meet with my dear friend and blogger Frannywanny and I didn’t mind one bit. Fran and her hubby Paul just moved to Singapore and I promised her I would visit her.

Culinary Adventure at 2am:Lab

2am lab- tapioca crisp with peanut sauce & chicken skin rendng strips

I ate a lot of delicious street food when I was in Singapore last June but one of my most memorable experiences was the amazing lunch we had at 2am:lab. Chef Janice Wong wowed us with her molecular gastronomy using familiar Singaporean flavors.
