My first day in Singapore was a very productive one. It started with a press conference for the World Street Food Congress 2013 then a few hours of shopping and eating with my cousin, followed by a wonderful river cruise and ended with a seafood dinner featuring some of Singapore’s most famous dishes.

Singapore River Cruise
It wasn’t all work in Singapore, not that I call eating delicious street food work, when I attended the World Street Food Congress 2013 last June. The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) made sure we saw the best that Singapore had to offer and I was definitely impressed. My previous trips to Singapore were mostly dedicatedContinue reading “Singapore River Cruise”
Breakfast at 21 On Rajah, Days Hotel Singapore
My stay at Days Hotel in Singapore included a daily breakfast buffet at their restaurant called 21 on Rajah located just off the lobby. The restaurant was big enough that it never felt full even with a large number of hotel guests dining there daily. I liked this life sized sculpture that greeted me everyContinue reading “Breakfast at 21 On Rajah, Days Hotel Singapore”
Hotel Review: Days Hotel Singapore
The Philippine media group for the World Street Food Congress 2013 was billeted in Days Hotel in Zhongshan Park. The hotel was a 3 star hotel but very new having opened only last December 2012. The location wasn’t very convenient but for the price and amenities I recommend this hotel for those looking for aContinue reading “Hotel Review: Days Hotel Singapore”

Tapas at Ibiza Beach Club, Mövenpick Hotel Mactan
My first dinner in Cebu was in Ibiza Beach Club at Mövenpick Hotel Mactan. I was told we were having tapas and that’s always a good thing. A short stroll from the hotel lobby to the end of this lighted walkway was Ibiza Beach Club, my favorite place in the entire hotel. Ibiza Beach Club isContinue reading “Tapas at Ibiza Beach Club, Mövenpick Hotel Mactan”
Dinner at Ah Yat Harbour View Restaurant
iSquare is a 31 storey mall in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. I have reviewed several restaurants in this mall. There’s not a lot of stores that I like in the mall except for Log On and Jason’s Marketplace but there are a lot of restaurants that are worth going to over and overContinue reading “Dinner at Ah Yat Harbour View Restaurant”
Cheap & Good Eats at Chiu Fat Porridge Noodle Restaurant
One of the restaurants we always patronize in Hong Kong is this hole in the wall restaurant that serves the best congee and pretty good noodle soup. Chiu Fat used to be in Hankow Rd. but now it moved to a more visible location in Lock Rd. It’s right beside Swindon Books and next toContinue reading “Cheap & Good Eats at Chiu Fat Porridge Noodle Restaurant”
Dessert at The One Mall
There are so many malls in Tsim Sha Tsui and I try my best to go to most of them even only to window shop. When I went to The One which is located along Nathan Rd. and the corner of Granville Rd. I didn’t expect to find a couple of dessert places which IContinue reading “Dessert at The One Mall”
