A couple of weeks ago my diet was temporary put on hold when these tempting sweets were sent to me from some of Manila’s talented home bakers. I love any form of dessert and I want to help out these hard working bakers by sharing them on this blog.
Regular readers of this blog know I LOVE cookies. I love them more than cupcakes, cronuts, donuts, ice cream and macarons. Although apple pie and cheesecake compete for a space in my heart and tummy.
Regular readers of this blog know that I’m a cookie monster. Cookies are my most favorite sweet treats. I always bemoan the fact that there are so few establishments in Manila that give cookies a larger space on their shelves.
It’s been a good year for me in terms of food discoveries but not weight gain. I’ve tried a lot of good ice cream, cheesecake, ensaymada, apple pies, bagels and lots of donuts. But my favorite food find has to be bocaditos.
I love helping out home bakers by featuring their products on my blog. I admire these young people for their business acumen and baking skills. The latest to send me samples is The Beehive Pastries.
I love apple pie. It’s is my most favorite pie of all and I’m always on the lookout for good ones in Manila.
If there’s a food fad somewhere in the world but specially in the USA you can be sure creative and enterprising Filipinos will have a version in a flash.
